Where is the Woggle?

Myrtle’s Courtyard , Hampton Estate, Seale, Near Farnham, Surrey, GU10 1JH

10 miles from Guildford. What3words location: //touched.reckon.feuds

Free Car Park very close to Race HQ.

On Arrival

Marshals will guide you to a parking spot. Please note there will not be a bag drop, so please leave belongings in your car. It’s a very short walk to  Race HQ at Myrtle’s Courtyard.

Collect your Race Number from the Barn in the courtyard, and pin it on your front. (We have video at the finish as a backup to the chip timing, and we need to be able to see your number). In the courtyard you may get interviewed. Listen to the race announcements. You can use the area beyond the courtyard to warm up but don’t go into any taped off areas. By now you’ll be able to smell the bacon!!

There are lots of toilets behind the courtyard.

At 9.50am you’ll be guided to the start which is a short walk away, 400m from the courtyard. Please do not cross the start line or warm up near the start line as the timing system may be switched on in which case your time may be recorded.

The Course

The course will be marked with  black arrows on a yellow background.

There will be a water stop at about 5k on the 10k only.

All Walkers and slower 6k Runners please stay on the left side of the course to allow faster Runners to pass on the right.

This is a trail run, and light/medium trail shoes are recommended for running. Road shoes will be ok unless it’s been extremely wet. No spikes!

Sorry no pushchairs or  wheelchairs the terrain is not suitable.

Sorry no dogs are allowed to run with you. Walkers can take dogs on a short lead only.

No bikes are allowed on the course.

Most important – please do not drop any litter, Gels are easier to carry when empty.

The Future depends on you – We are kindly given permission from Hamptons estate to run on this private land. Please respect this beautiful place, do not pick the flowers on the estate, please do not go off the marked trail, keep going until you get to the finish.  Our marshals will be out on the course until the last person has gone past – they are all volunteers – smile and be courteous.

Please respect other members of the public who are also using the course paths.

Some of you will not have run 6k or 10k before, take a look at the scenery, beat the hills, you can do this. Some of you have done hundreds of 10k’s….. enjoy the views and remember “the last 1k is downhill”.

Enjoy the run and Keep Safe.

The Finish

Runners: As you approach the finish, make sure your race number is visible. Cross the Finish mats and proceed into the finish tunnel.

Medals will handed out at the end of the finish funnel, and you’ll be able to get a drink of water. Once you have exited the finish funnel please take off your Race Number – if you put it in one of the special boxes you can enter the draw for a FREE RACE PLACE NEXT YEAR.

DO NOT CROSS THE FINISH MATS AGAIN  OR GO ANYWHERE NEAR THEM ONCE YOU HAVE FINISHED!

Walkers: When you reach the finish you can go straight into the courtyard. No need to enter the finish funnel as you’re not being timed.

Spectators: Are welcome. The finish area is next to Myrtle’s Courtyard. You can walk into the woods and back up the course but please keep the drive clear for Runners.
