Collecting Race Numbers

Pre-collection to avoid the on-the-day queues  is from 6.30pm to 8.30 pm on Wednesday 7th May at Aldershot Cricket Club.

You can collect race numbers for a group of people, but make sure that each number is given to the correct person! To be sure of this, on collection write a name or initials on the back of each number! Your race chip is on the back of your number – do not bend it or your time may not be recorded.

Or arrive at race HQ between 8.00am and 9.30am on-the-day.

Do not allow anyone else to take your place. They are not insured. If you have a place as a result of a transfer made after Tuesday, your number will be filed at registration under the name of the original purchaser of the number so go to the desk corresponding to their name, not your own. Your name will be in the race results!

Collect your race number from the Barn in Myrtles Courtyard. Please attach it to your front for the race – we have video to backup the chip timing but it won’t work if your number can’t be seen. You can use the area beyond to warm up but don’t cross any taped off areas.

There are toilets – you must use hand sanitiser before entering the toilets and afterwards.

At 9.50am you will be guided to the start. Please do not cross the start line or warm up near the start line as the chip timing may be operational. A bell will announce the start of the race – you don’t have to rush off as your race time will only start when you cross the starting line.

This is a trail run, we advise trail shoes for running.

Sorry no pushchairs or  wheelchairs – the terrain is not suitable.

Sorry no dogs are allowed to run with you. They can go with a Walker but must be on a short lead at all times.

No bikes are allowed on the course.

Please keep moving around the course. Our marshals will be out there until the last person goes past – give them a smile as you go past.

Most important please do not drop any litter. Gels are easier to carry when empty.

We are kindly given permission from Hampton Estate to run on this private land. Please respect this beautiful place – do not pick the flowers or go off the marked trail.

Most importantly – Enjoy the Run.

Some of you will not have run 6k or 10k before, take a look at the scenery, beat the hills, you can do this. Some of you have done Hundreds of 10k`s….. enjoy the views and remember “the last 1k is downhill”.

Enjoy the Run and Keep Safe.
